SharePoint 2007 – Make a Wish

By amandaperran in : Uncategorized // May 25 2006

Shane has started a thread to act as a forum for the community to collectively create a wishlist for items they would like to see addressed in future versions of SharePoint…maybe even 2007.

Have a pain point with SharePoint?  Make a wish!

Admitting my bias here, I wanted to bring your attention to an article in Network World here -> http://www.networkworld.com/news/2006/052906-colligio-sharepoint.html. In it, Gartner Analyst David Smith calls offline access the “holy grail” for SharePoint users. He eludes to the fact that Groove 2007 will provide this capability. However, I think there is a lot of confusion about what Groove will provide. It will only provide support for SharePoint files offline, not any type of lists, or more importantly, views. That’s why we launched our product line.

I’d be interested what others think of the requirement for offline and invite everyone to donwload our free offline SharePoint Reader from http://www.colligo.com/products/sharepoint/reader.asp.

Thought you might be interested in a SharePoint blog from another Canadian all the way across the country in Vancouver. Great posts here by the way!
